The work Untitled (Raising of Lazarus) by Satish Gujral was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,320.00 (€ 41,214.35), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Satish Gujral - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Despair, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Raising of Lazarus) von Satish Gujral wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 41.214,35) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Satish Gujral mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Despair beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76) versteigert wurde.
