This artwork by Satish Gujral achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Man) sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Satish Gujral have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Despair in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Satish Gujral erzielte im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Man) für USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.368,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satish Gujral auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Despair im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76).
