It achieved a price of INR 3,500,000.00 (€ 44,202.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Satish Gujral - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Despair, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Ganesha) von Satish Gujral wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Boundless: India bei Sothebys in Mumbai versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von INR 3.500.000,00 (€ 44.202,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Für andere Arbeiten von Satish Gujral mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Despair beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76) versteigert wurde.
