Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Ganesha) by Satish Gujral was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of INR 1,875,000.00 (€ 23,652.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of INR 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Satish Gujral have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Despair in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Ganesha) von Satish Gujral kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von INR 1.875.000,00 (€ 23.652,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von INR 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satish Gujral auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Despair im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76).
