The work Tongue by Sarah Slappey was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 11,430.00 (€ 13,003.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Sarah Slappey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black Pearls II in December last year with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 120,794.17).

Die Arbeit Tongue von Sarah Slappey wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.430,00 (€ 13.003,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Slappey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black Pearls II im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 120.794,17).
