This artwork by Sandro Chia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in June last year. In the 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II auction, the work Lonely Ocean sold for EUR 44,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sandro Chia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sandro Chia erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II wurde die Arbeit Lonely Ocean für EUR 44.100,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sandro Chia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pharmacist's son im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 252.500,00 (€ 362.606,61).
