Auction result well in line with expectations
The work He Loves His Pet, 1986 by Sandro Chia was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,457.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandro Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.457,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandro Chia erzielen.
