Auction result misses estimated price range

In the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction, the work The Half-Dome From Glacier Point, Yosemite changed hands for USD 5,975.00 (€ 4,506.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Colman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Becalmed in the Highlands in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 343,818.08).
