Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II, which included this untitled work by Samir Rafi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,520.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Samir Rafi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Samir Rafi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.520,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samir Rafi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 101.493,72).
