Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spirit Animal by Samir Rafi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,484.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samir Rafi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).
