Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Figure in Repose by Samir Rafi for GBP 875.00 (€ 974.83). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samir Rafi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figure in Repose von Samir Rafi für GBP 875,00 (€ 974,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samir Rafi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 101.493,72).
