Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Bonhams in London held the auction Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work YAFA 70, 2022 by Samia Halaby. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 762.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samia Halaby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranean #279 in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,534.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit YAFA 70, 2022 von Samia Halaby zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 762,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samia Halaby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranean #279 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.534,98).
