Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Samia Halaby achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection auction, the work Return (No. 323) sold for GBP 233,100.00 (€ 270,112.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Samia Halaby; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mediterranean #279 sold at auction in November 2020 with the realized price of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,534.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samia Halaby erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection wurde die Arbeit Return (No. 323) für GBP 233.100,00 (€ 270.112,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Samia Halaby; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mediterranean #279 im November 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.534,98).
