This artwork by Samia Halaby achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Turn and Grow sold for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 70,362.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Samia Halaby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mediterranean #279 in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 446,534.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samia Halaby erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Turn and Grow für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 70.362,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samia Halaby auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mediterranean #279 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 400.000,00 (€ 446.534,98).
