Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clear Eyes by Sam McKinniss was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,237.02). Admittedly, works by Sam McKinniss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Killer Pussy (Gabi) in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,411.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Clear Eyes von Sam McKinniss kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.237,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam McKinniss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Killer Pussy (Gabi) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 40.411,88).
