Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Strike by Sam Durant for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,843.97). This price was achieved in the auction First Open at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Durant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Can Anyone Hear Me?, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Strike von Sam Durant für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.843,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sam Durant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Can Anyone Hear Me? beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38) versteigert wurde.
