Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Male Chauvinists Beware by Sam Durant was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,016.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sam Durant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Can Anyone Hear Me? was auctioned for USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).

Die Arbeit Male Chauvinists Beware von Sam Durant kam im März 2017 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.016,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Sam Durant konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Can Anyone Hear Me? für USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38) versteigert.
