Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Male Chauvinists Beware by Sam Durant was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,016.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sam Durant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Can Anyone Hear Me? was auctioned for USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).
