Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Female Indian by Sam Durant was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,645.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Durant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Can Anyone Hear Me? in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Female Indian von Sam Durant wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.645,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Durant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Can Anyone Hear Me? im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38).
