In the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction, the work Couple in Bed sold for AUD 3,055.00 (€ 1,831.19) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salvatore Zofrea - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Odyssey, which sold at auction in May 2001 for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,634.44).

Für andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Zofrea mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Odyssey beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.634,44) versteigert wurde.
