Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Red Umbrella by Salvatore Zofrea. The price achieved of AUD 235.00 (€ 132.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvatore Zofrea achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Odyssey in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,634.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Umbrella von Salvatore Zofrea zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 235,00 (€ 132,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Zofrea erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Odyssey im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.634,44).
