Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Mr Hyde (Dr Jekyll) by Salvatore Scarpitta was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Il Ponte in November 2021. The auction ended at the price of EUR 30,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvatore Scarpitta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Housing Developed in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,535,000.00 (€ 2,940,418.20).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mr Hyde (Dr Jekyll) von Salvatore Scarpitta wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 30.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Scarpitta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Housing Developed im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.535.000,00 (€ 2.940.418,20).
