Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sally Michel Avery could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Lake in the Hills changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,527.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Michel Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Mug in May last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sally Michel Avery konnte im Februar 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Lake in the Hills für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.527,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Mug im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 82.191,78).
