In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work Little Man Big Hat by Sally Michel Avery. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,680.00 (€ 7,208.56), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Michel Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Mug in May last year with an auction result of USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Little Man Big Hat von Sally Michel Avery zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.680,00 (€ 7.208,56) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Mug im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 82.191,78).
