In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Hills and Fields by Sally Michel Avery. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,500.00 (€ 24,702.12), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sally Michel Avery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Mug, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hills and Fields von Sally Michel Avery zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.500,00 (€ 24.702,12) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Mug beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 88.200,00 (€ 82.191,78) versteigert wurde.
