Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sally Michel Avery achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. In the American Art auction, the work Sunday Morning sold for USD 28,160.00 (€ 26,431.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sally Michel Avery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Mug, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sally Michel Avery erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Sunday Morning für USD 28.160,00 (€ 26.431,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sally Michel Avery mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Mug beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 88.200,00 (€ 82.191,78) versteigert wurde.
