Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hayhook by Sally Mann was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 9,525.00 (€ 8,627.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candy Cigarette in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hayhook von Sally Mann kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.525,00 (€ 8.627,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Mann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Candy Cigarette im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 257.000,00 (€ 205.107,74).
