This artwork by Sally Mann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2014. In the Photographs auction, the work Candy Cigarette sold for USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00. This high result makes Candy Cigarette the most expensive artwork by Sally Mann that we have observed at auctions so far.
