Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Unknown by Ryuzaburo Umehara. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 21,279.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryuzaburo Umehara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peony in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 301,299.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Ryuzaburo Umehara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 21.279,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryuzaburo Umehara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peony im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.750.000,00 (€ 301.299,47).
