Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ryuzaburo Umehara
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Peony by Ryuzaburo Umehara for HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 301,299.47). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art Evening Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 3,000,000.00 – 4,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Peony is the most expensive artwork by Ryuzaburo Umehara that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Ryuzaburo Umehara
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Peony von Ryuzaburo Umehara für HKD 2.750.000,00 (€ 301.299,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 3.000.000,00 – 4.000.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Peony das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ryuzaburo Umehara, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
