It achieved a price of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 151,024.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Other works by Ryuzaburo Umehara have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 301,299.47) in July 2020 for the work Peony.
