In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work San Sui Ko by Ryozo Kato. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,900.49), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryozo Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work San Sui Kyo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Sui Ko von Ryozo Kato zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.900,49) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit San Sui Kyo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38) versteigert wurde.
