In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work The Difference Between Hope & Prayer by Ryan McGinness. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,723.44), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual Information in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).

Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Difference Between Hope & Prayer von Ryan McGinness zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.723,44) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual Information im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
