Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Remember me, mistakenly - Although you've given me everything (Glarner) by Ryan Gander was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,444.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryan Gander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Is... (I), which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).

Als die Arbeit Remember me, mistakenly - Although you've given me everything (Glarner) von Ryan Gander im Dezember 2018 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.444,58) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryan Gander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Is... (I) beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10) versteigert wurde.
