Admittedly, works by Russell Lee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pie Town, New Mexico. in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 20,239.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.890,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Russell Lee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pie Town, New Mexico. im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 20.239,88).
