Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dark Rock Offshore II ; Mono Pass (two works) by Russell Crotty was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,520.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russell Crotty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two works: (i) The Crescent Nebula in Cygnus (ii) Fake Ranch, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,889.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dark Rock Offshore II ; Mono Pass (two works) von Russell Crotty kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.520,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Russell Crotty mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two works: (i) The Crescent Nebula in Cygnus (ii) Fake Ranch beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.889,58) versteigert wurde.
