In February 2011 Phillips in London held the auction The Valencia Collection, which included the work Two works: (i) Nightfall Autumn Mayacamas; (ii) Planetary Grouping with Yucca by Russell Crotty. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,595.10), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Russell Crotty; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two works: (i) The Crescent Nebula in Cygnus (ii) Fake Ranch sold at auction in February 2011 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,889.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion The Valencia Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Nightfall Autumn Mayacamas; (ii) Planetary Grouping with Yucca von Russell Crotty zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.595,10) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Russell Crotty; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two works: (i) The Crescent Nebula in Cygnus (ii) Fake Ranch im Februar 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.889,58).
