Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled 1966 by Roy Turner Durrant for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,514.73). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Turner Durrant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled 1966 von Roy Turner Durrant für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.514,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Turner Durrant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.273,78) versteigert wurde.
