Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Abstract Head by Roy Turner Durrant. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,307.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy Turner Durrant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Head von Roy Turner Durrant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.307,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roy Turner Durrant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.273,78) versteigert wurde.
