Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Still Life with Pitcher and Flowers, from Six Still Lifes series by Roy Lichtenstein. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,209.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Pitcher and Flowers, from Six Still Lifes series von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.209,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
