In September 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, which included the work Fish And Sky (Corlett 50) by Roy Lichtenstein. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,260.76), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).

Im September 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish And Sky (Corlett 50) von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.260,76) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
