In the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 1 auction, the work Catsup Bottles, Table and Coat, New York sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,357.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roy DeCarava - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hallway, New York, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,993.28).
