Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standing Figure by Rowan Gillespie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,918.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowan Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
