The work The Migrants by Rowan Gillespie was worth GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,118.78) to a buyer in November 2018. This price was achieved in the auction A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Rowan Gillespie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
