The work Ripples II by Rowan Gillespie was sold in the Ireland / France: Art & Literature auction at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. It achieved a price of EUR 20,160.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowan Gillespie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When Hope And History Rhyme in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).

Die Arbeit Ripples II von Rowan Gillespie wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Ireland / France: Art & Literature bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 20.160,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowan Gillespie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When Hope And History Rhyme im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 225.198,79).
