This artwork by Rowan Gillespie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Irish Art auction, the work Are You There? sold for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rowan Gillespie; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot When Hope And History Rhyme sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 225,198.79).
