Auction result well in line with expectations
The work For A Dark Hour Or Twain by Rosson Crow was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,566.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rosson Crow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tea Room At The Plaza 1914, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,955.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit For A Dark Hour Or Twain von Rosson Crow kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.566,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rosson Crow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tea Room At The Plaza 1914 beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.955,95) versteigert wurde.
