Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Year of Infinity by Rosson Crow was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,071.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rosson Crow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea Room At The Plaza 1914 in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,955.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Year of Infinity von Rosson Crow im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.071,00) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rosson Crow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tea Room At The Plaza 1914 im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.955,95).
