Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall at the Mizuno Gallery in Los Angeles, California", 1983 by Ron Galella was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,774.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ron Galella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,427.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall at the Mizuno Gallery in Los Angeles, California", 1983 von Ron Galella im Mai 2015 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.774,06) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ron Galella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971 beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.427,96) versteigert wurde.
