Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Madison Avenue, New York City by Ron Galella. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,314.23). Admittedly, works by Ron Galella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,427.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Madison Avenue, New York City von Ron Galella zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.314,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron Galella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.427,96).
