Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work David Bowie in 'The Elephant Man', Booth theatre, Broadway, New York by Ron Galella for EUR 1,364.00. This price was achieved in the auction Photographie at Lempertz in Cologne and was even lower than the EUR 1,400.00 estimate set by the auction house. The price achieved of EUR 1,364.00 was within expectations - the estimate had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,400.00. Admittedly, works by Ron Galella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,427.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit David Bowie in 'The Elephant Man', Booth theatre, Broadway, New York von Ron Galella für EUR 1.364,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographie bei Lempertz in Köln erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von EUR 1.400,00. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.364,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – der Schätzpreis war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.400,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ron Galella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Windblown Jackie, October 7, 1971 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.427,96).
